SSC is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Delivery Manager to oversee the execution of complex, multi-client project portfolios and support operational delivery across teams. This role reports to the Vice President of Operations and will be a key leader in ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, agency-style environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience, excels at coordinating cross-functional teams, and is comfortable managing multiple external clients simultaneously. You will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, delegating tasks, ensuring team alignment, managing resource allocation/capacity planning, and maintaining accountability on both the client and internal sides.

Key Responsibilities:

Multi-Client Project Oversight

• Manage a dynamic portfolio of sustainability and operations-related projects for multiple clients.
• Develop and maintain structured project plans, scope, budgets, and schedules across diverse scopes and timelines.
• Balance priorities and resources across concurrent client engagements with competing deadlines.

Client Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring proactive communication, status updates, and expectation management.
• Build strong, trusted relationships by holding clients accountable to inputs, decisions, and feedback timelines.
• Lead client-facing meetings and project reviews to ensure alignment throughout delivery.

Operational Leadership & Team Delegation

• Delegate work effectively across consultants, analysts, and project managers based on capacity and expertise.
• Coordinate with SSC’s internal operations and technical teams to ensure project execution is smooth and efficient.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, risks, or misalignments before they impact project outcomes.

PMO & Process Excellence

• Apply PMO best practices to improve consistency, standardization, and visibility across projects.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of internal project delivery frameworks, templates, and KPIs.
• Track and report project health, resource utilization, and delivery metrics to leadership.

Resource Forecasting & Planning

• Support capacity planning and resource forecasting based on project pipeline and staffing needs.
• Collaborate with the VP of Operations to ensure team bandwidth aligns with demand and client expectations.

Team Leadership & Development

• Mentor and support project delivery team members
• Contribute to internal capability-building in AI and digital project management enhancements
• Promote best practices in project management and agile delivery across the organization

Qualifications:

• 5–7+ years of experience in project management or project delivery, preferably in a consulting, agency, or PMO environment.
• Strong background in managing multiple concurrent external clients and cross-functional project teams.
• Proven experience delivering multi-stakeholder sustainability projects on time and on budget
• Proven ability to delegate tasks, manage timelines, and lead operational execution across a diverse project portfolio.
• Exceptional communication skills with experience driving accountability in a client-facing setting.
• Familiarity with sustainability services (e.g., life cycle assessment, emissions tracking, reporting) is a plus.
• Proficiency with project management and forecasting tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Environmental Science, or related field. PMP or similar certification preferred.
• Experience with leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools to drive impact, efficiency, and innovation
